NAPD External Policy
Ukraine is warmly welcoming EURO 2012 supporters. Are Ukrainian public facilities – hotels, cafes, restaurants, transport infrastructure, etc. – accessible for all guests, including those with disabilities?
3rd April 2012 at the NSC «Olimpiyskiy» held a press conference regarding the coverage of the international project UEFA "EURO 2012: Respect Inclusion - Football with No Limits" and presentation training seminar to prepare descriptive audio commentators from among the volunteer project, which will then provide this important service to fans with low vision and / or blind at every match during Euro 2012.
People with eyesight defects will be able to see Euro-2012 matches thanks to audio descriptive comments. A specially trained sportscaster will describe and explain to these people everything taking place in the field, practically becoming their eyes. Each stadium will get 30 special audio earphones during the championship, and sightless people will be able to “see” football matches with their help.
All airports of Euro-2012 host cities will be equipped with modern ambulance lifts. The news was announced by the deputy head of the National Agency for preparations and holding of Euro-2012 and implementation of infrastructure projects, Valeriy Zhaldak.
